"HODGDON'S IS A YARD WITH A GOOD DEPTH OF TALENT, EASY TO WORK WITH, AND THE ENTIRE YARD HA

"During the winter season of 2017 and 2018 I had major repairs made to my 1968 cold molded Brownell sport fisherman. Much of the fiberglass aft of amidships was removed, covering boards and cockpit sole, for access. Planking, and frames were replaced due to fresh water damage, as water came down through the cockpit covering boards.

The joinery of the new teak covering boards is superb, as is the new frames and hull planking. The approach to keeping further fresh water intrusion was innovative, and easily done. The paint job top notch, and the communication with the yard manager, project manager was as good as it could ever be. The crew is approachable and we often interacted making decisions.

I chose Hodgdon Yacht Services for a variety of reasons, price, quality of work and convenience, I was not disappointed in any of the three criteria for my decision to have Hodgdon’s undertake the task of breathing new life into this 50 year old vessel, and more than satisfying her owner.

Hodgdon’s is a yard with a good depth of talent, easy to work with, and the entire yard has great integrity. They do indeed stand behind their work.

Would I take my boat back? Yes.

Do I want to, no, and I do not expect to have to do so in the near or distant future."
